There are many benefits to spending time in nature including improvements to cognitive function, building social connections with the people and environment around you, and improvements to overall sense of well-being. These benefits are amplified through physical activity in natural settings.

Prince Frederick Fitness Zone

Located in front of the Prince Frederick Hall and adjacent to Mowatt Lane Garage. The Prince Frederick Fitness Zone is a functional outdoor fitness space designed for a total body workout using bodyweight and gravity for resistance training.

Bouldering Zone

Located on Level 0 of the Eppley Recreation Center, the Bouldering Zone is RecWell's indoor bouldering facility with a range of bouldering routes to accommodate seasoned climbers and those new to the sport. The space also features a Kilter Board and Campus Board. Note: Reservations are required for use of the space

Fitness Certifications

Become a certified fitness instructor by obtaining a group fitness certification. RecWell hosts certifications on campus and offers online certifications where applicable. All NCAA-accredited certifications are accepted.
