Fraternity Row Fields
Located on Baltimore Avenue beside Ritchie Coliseum, this 6-acre field facilitates club sport practices such as rugby and soccer and hosts activities like Homecoming and Greek Week events. Fraternity Row fields are accessible to current campus community members only, unless reserved through a RecWell Facility Use Agreement.

All students, RecWell members, and guests are responsible for behaving in a safe and appropriate manner and complying with posted and published rules and regulations for facility use.
This large grass field can be rented for a variety of sports and special events with its close proximity to greek life. Due to the size of the field it can be split into half field or full field rentals depending on the scope and budget for your event. This field is one of 3 fields that has the capabilities to host Rugby events.
Some key rental features include
- Various field paint and markings available (Additional fees)
- No restrooms on site; groups can arrange usage of restrooms at nearby facility, Ritchie Coliseum or portables to be placed at the field
- Grass fields are subject to closures due to weather especially rain
- Field closed Jan 1st - end of spring break each year for repair
Parking on campus is regulated by UMD’s Department of Transportation Services. Regulations vary based on time of year, time of day, type of parking permit, and special events/construction projects. We recommend viewing DOTS’ parking maps for current accommodations and restrictions.
