David Flumbaum

David starting working at RecWell as a part-time employee while attending UMD. Over the last 30 years, he is grateful to have had the chance to advance his career while working in the only job he's ever known. He gains the most satisfaction knowing the impact RecWell has as a department in creating positive experiences for the students and campus community. David strongly believes that attending college is more than just about the academics and RecWell plays an important role in the student experience and their development into well-rounded young adults and our future leaders. RecWell provides opportunities for students to broaden their view of the world, be exposed to things they may not have known or done before, while helping them stay and/or become well, both physically and mentally. In order to stay active, David enjoys working outdoors and helping others. He also enjoys supporting his family in their activities and interests. In fact, spending time with both immediate and extended family is what he enjoys most. He also likes to read, travel, attend sporting events, watch movies/documentaries, gather with friends, and eat good food.
