Located on North Campus to the west of the Eppley Recreation Center, the Eppley Tennis and Pickleball Courts consist of eight lighted outdoor tennis courts and 16 pickleball courts, which are available to all UMD community members. Members can reserve individual courts for free online. The Eppley Tennis and Pickleball Courts are also available to rent. Please visit our Facility Rentals page for more information.
Policies
- Intended for UMD students, faculty, staff, and RecWell members
- Online reservations are for tennis only - no pickleball reservations
- Pickleball play is drop-in only
- Dedicated pickleball priority times are available on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings. Tennis is the priority sport on all other days and times
- If the courts are not reserved, any member can play either pickleball or tennis
- Two pickleball nets available for open play on Court 1 at all times.

Access & Rules
Eppley Tennis and Pickleball Courts are accessible to current campus community members only, unless reserved through a RecWell Facility Use Agreement.

Facility Rental
The Eppley Tennis and Pickleball Courts can host a variety of tennis and pickleball rentals from single courts to the entire court complex depending on the event.
Some key rental features include:
- Lighted courts for usage after dark
- 8 tennis courts
- 16 pickleball courts (2 per tennis court)
Parking
Parking on campus is regulated by UMD’s Department of Transportation Services. Regulations vary based on time of year, time of day, type of parking permit, and special events/construction projects. We recommend viewing DOTS’ parking maps for current accommodations and restrictions.
