The Adventure Program is the basecamp for all of your adventure needs. Located in the lower level of the Eppley Recreation Center, this adventure hub is home to outdoor gear rental and retail, a resource library, and is the location of pre-trip meetings for adventure trips hosted by the Adventure Program.
It’s the place to go to prepare for your next outdoor adventure, whether it is an organized trip through the Adventure Program or your own personal adventure. Visit the Adventure Program and friendly and experienced staff will get you recreating outdoors in no time!
Any UMD student, faculty, or staff is able to utilize resources in the Adventure Program. RecWell members are also able to take advantage of outdoor equipment rental, retail, and resources. Access is only allowed during the Adventure Program’s posted hours.
You can only access the Adventure Program from the private entrance located near lot SS2. If you are facing the main entrance to the Eppley Recreation Center (ERC), take the stairs between the ERC (left side of building) and Outdoor Aquatic Center to the lower level. The Adventure Program entrance will be on your right just before you reach the corner of the building.
Parking on campus is regulated by UMD’s Department of Transportation Services. Regulations vary based on time of year, time of day, type of parking permit, and special events/construction projects. We recommend viewing DOTS’ parking maps for current accommodations and restrictions.
