If space is available, and you are willing to pay the full course fee, you may enroll after the course has begun. Contact email@example.com for assistance.
Complete the Cancel/Transfer Request form. The amount of any refund, if due, will depend on how many days in advance the cancellation is requested.
Consult Department of Transportation Services parking maps to determine where you can park on campus. If you are ticketed, you are responsible for paying the fine.
Locker and shower facilities are available in all RecWell facilities. The locker rooms in the the SPH Building close at 4:30pm.
RecWell community programs start promptly on time. To avoid disrupting a class already in session, allow enough time to find your way to the facility, locate parking (a challenge on the UMD campus), change clothes if necessary, and arrive at the designated classroom at least 5 minutes before the class is scheduled to start. Learn to Swim participants must be in a swimsuit and on the pool deck at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled class start time. Participants in Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor courses need to be in the designated area at least 10 minutes prior to the start of each class.
If you are a registered UMD student or current RecWell member, you may borrow a tennis racquet from the Equipment Issue desk in the Eppley Recreation Center. All others must borrow or purchase a racquet to bring to class. Tennis balls are provided.
If it is raining where you live, do not assume it is raining in College Park. Often rain showers will be short, and the tennis courts will be clear in time for your class to be held. If the weather is questionable, call 301-405-PLAY (7529). A staff member can let you know if your tennis class is being held or canceled for rain. A decision is made 1.5 hours in advance of the start of your class. If RecWell determines that tennis classes should be canceled for rain, you will receive notification per our communication policy. To ensure you receive notice, please keep your online account information updated.
When classes are scheduled on home football or basketball game days, expect to encounter traffic traveling to the campus. Parking areas near the Eppley Recreation Center will be closed 4 hours before game time to accommodate ticket holders. Be prepared to pay for parking or to park farther away. Allow extra time. Refunds will NOT be given for classes missed due to game day traffic.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your needs. We will make arrangements for reasonable accommodations for you or your child to participate.
