Coordinator for Fitness Programs

The Coordinator of Fitness Programs has major responsibility for hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising approximately 50 student group fitness instructors. Coordinator for Intramural Sports & Camps

The Coordinator of Intramural Sports and Camps has the major responsibility for training and supervising student officials and assisting with the administration of the intramural sports program during the academic year. In the summer (June through mid-August), this position has majority responsibility for supervising the summer day camp schedule and staff. Specific responsibilities include: training and hiring intramural sport officials; managing payroll and scheduling for 175 students and supervisors; assisting with training of intramural sports supervisors; assisting with planning and administration of intramural sports tournaments and events; hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising summer camp staff; assisting with planning of summer day camp program; and teaching employee safety courses as needed. The Coordinator for Bike Shop & Adventure Trips has major responsibility for managing the RecWell Adventure Program’s bike shop and equipment rental desk and assists with the supervision and administration of student-led adventure trips. Specific responsibilities include, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising 10-15 student bike mechanics and 7-10 student rental desk employees, leading monthly staff meetings, facilitating staff development session, co-instructing the academic course “Foundations and Applications of Adventure Leadership Instruction” with the Assistant Director of the Adventure Program, managing the trips and rental equipment, and managing the retail program.
